The Heirs of Hybris
Living on the bones
of the starved children in broken bowls
of concrete and barbed wire,
the architect's heirs rebuild the cities
mold skulls in thin air.

Providing poor acoustics to mouths
once decrying their innocence,
and dwelling, dwelling,
for tomorrow's meager soup,
the fasting, K - 9 toothed vegetation,
supplicate toward memory's mange.

To the aristocrat's families, diplomats present
archeologist spoons with which to bury
the rubble of cathedral and castle on both sides
of the Rhine's table, once for all.
